2nd Edition of Build Your Own Desktop PC Released

Build Your Own Desktop PC v2 CoverIt has been almost a year since I originally published my first book through the Amazon Kindle Store detailing how to go about building your own desktop PC. Since this subject is obviously one where technology changes frequently, I’ve worked hard on getting it updated. In addition to the various technology changes and edits, I spent a good portion of time adjusting the layout so it is much easier to read and the photographs more inline with the instructional text. This 2nd Edition of my book has been released and is now available with a list price of $4.99 compared to the previous $9.99.

The book covers all aspects of building your own desktop computer system from parts. This includes the basics of the PC components, helping to select which components to buy, what tools you will need to put it all together, installing the operating system and basic troubleshooting tips.

Now if you were one of my readers who happened to by the original edition, don’t worry, the second edition is published in place of the original. This means that you can download the book again from Amazon for free and you will receive the latest version.

To celebrate the release of the book, there will be a $2.99 promotion for the book that runs from 1am PST April 14th, 2014 to 11pm PST April 20, 2014. Due to some unexpected problems with Amazon, my discount promotion was deleted. Once I get things sorted with Amazon, I will make a new announcement of the $2.99 promotion. If you are a Amazon Prime member, you can borrow the book for free in the meantime.
